All that for nothing

So after the morning freakout, I did what any pregnant woman would do and forgot the letter at home. Seriously the baby brain just took over and all my work and worrying was for nothing. Of course that just feeds into my fear that this baby will arrive on their own schedule, not mine and that nothing will happen in a calm or planned manner. (Thanks for the comments Angela and Cathy. Hopefully I will still get to have something go according to plan in this pregnancy.)

Other than forgetting the birth letter, the doctor's visit went as expected. I didn't see the doctor until over 2 hours after my actual appointment time. Oh the joys of seeing a high-risk OB. I also had to endure my first pelvic exam of this pregnancy because the doctor wanted to check my cervix. (Just barely starting to dilate according to him.) Well at least the GBS test is done, again. (It was done 7 weeks ago in the hospital so it had to be redone just in case.) We also set a date for an amnio the first week of January. If by some miracle, I discover some source of peace and calm before that, it can be cancelled and we will wait until January 16th. If not and the test results are good, this baby could arrive on January 4th. Is it wrong for me to really like the idea of delivery that early because it means that my children have their birthdays on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th?
