36 weeks, 6 days

New update. Surgery has been moved up to Tuesday the 10th! Of course this means that I now have an afternoon surgery (have to fast all morning and into the afternoon) and Dr. K is working all day (and she has Monday and Wednesday off) but I will take it. The sooner I get to meet Thing 3 the better. I'm now convinced that the actual surgery will not go in any way the way I want, except hopefully the live baby at the end part, but I am trying not to stress about it. Really, there is not much I can do at this point anyways. If it's awful, I will just cry through it and then it will be over. Not a very empowered woman kind of stance, but I've had enough with putting effort into planning during this pregnancy and having everything turn out completely different anyway.

  1. So close now, mama! Hoping surgery goes well and you don't cry through it. Thinking of you and baby, sending good birthing thoughts your way.

  2. Come on Tuesday! Thinking about you so very much. I'm holding hope for you that delivery goes just as you'd like it to. Love, love, love to you and Thing 3.

  3. Oh gosh, gosh, gosh!!!! Thing 3 will share my birthday. Will think of you endlessly. Let me know as soon as you can.

Booked my elective again today, not really that long away. Finally realised what my priorities truly are (end this madness as fast as possible).

    Lots of love.

  4. Oh my goodness! Lots of prayers and good thoughts and vibes headed your way, and all through tomorrow. Mostly praying for the safe arrival of your baby and lots of feelings of peace for you.

I hope everything goes smoothly, no complications whatsoever, and that by this time tomorrow you will have that precious baby safely in your arms.

By the way, you are a very empowered woman to me - tears or no tears. Going through babyloss and then a new pregnancy is one of the hardest and most courageous things a woman can do, in my opinion.
