Do I look more tanned today or maybe it's that my pregnant glow has turned into a radio-active glow and just in time for Halloween too. It took 36 hours after my first asthma flare up in the hospital to see a resident, but now I have seen 2 and an internal medicine specialist and have been sent for a chest x-ray and a lung scan. Because I am not wheezy like an asthmatic normally would be, the specialist wanted to rule out clots in my lungs as the source of my shortness of breath. (and they have been ruled out, yay me) Tomorrow along with the U/S to check my cervix (and potentially let me go home), I have a lung function test and then hopefully the doctors will figure out a treatment plan for my asthma issues.
And do you know what the craziest part of getting all these tests run was? I had to ride in the stretcher down in the imaging labs because there is a shortage of WHEEL CHAIRS in this hospital. Seriously, they can bring in a tech to run tests on me using a million dollar machine, but they can't track down a wheel chair to transport me in. (Although there seem to be plenty of wheel chairs outside this hospital being used by patients who need to go outside to smoke.)
Just...... Argh!!!!! Hope you break free today.
